Shipping Policy - The Quilted Castle
We currently ship via the United States Postal Service for orders in the United States. Our shopping cart lists an "estimated" shipping price calculated based on the dollar amount of your order. We never add a handling charge to your order. For orders over $20.00 if actual shipping charges are less than our shopping cart estimates by more than $2.00, you will get a refund for the excess.
For orders in the United States, purchases in excess of $200.00 will receive free shipping!
We may occasionally use shipping carriers other than the United States Postal Service at our discretion.
For international orders, if actual shipping charges are significantly higher than what is shown on your order, we will contact you to discuss the actual charges. We realize this may be an incovenience for our international customers, but we will do everything we can to come to a solution that is beneficial for both parties. If we cannot come to an agreement, your full purchase price will be refunded. For our international customers, the following items usually fit into a $13.00 priority international envelope:
* 6-8 yards of 44"-45" cotton fabric (not flannel, brushed cotton or 54" fabric). Note that if only one fabric is ordered, (e.g., a 7 yard cut), it may not fit into one envelope due to the bulk of the folds required for a large piece of fabric.
* 2 layer cakes, or
* 2 jelly rolls, or
* 8-10 charm packs, depending on how many squares are in the pack
Also, a combination of the above can also be arranged - contact us and we will work with you to keep your shipping costs as low as possible.
For larger international orders, approximately 25 yards of cotton fabric will fit in the $41.95 international priority mail flat rate box.
Please note that unless you purchase insurance, we are not responsible for your order once we have shipped it. However, international priority mail envelopes cannot be insured (this service is not offered by the U.S. Post Office). The medium flat rate boxes ($41.95) can be insured, and it is highly recommended.
Please note that we are a small family run business. On rare occasions, we may make a pricing error that is not caught by our internal controls. We reserve the right to fully refund any amounts paid for an item that is significantly below retail (e.g., if we mark a jelly roll at 3.00 instead of 35.00) and not complete the sale. Thank you for your understanding in this matter. It is not our intention to deceive you as a buyer - the simple fact of the matter is that everyone is human and can make mistakes.
