Shipping Policy - The Quilted Castle

We currently ship via the United States Postal Service for orders in the United States. Our shopping cart lists an "estimated" shipping price calculated based on the dollar amount of your order. We never add a handling charge to your order. For orders over $20.00 if actual shipping charges are less than our shopping cart estimates by more than $2.00, you will get a refund for the excess.

For orders in the United States, purchases in excess of $200.00 will receive free shipping!

We may occasionally use shipping carriers other than the United States Postal Service at our discretion.

For international orders, if actual shipping charges are significantly higher than what is shown on your order, we will contact you to discuss the actual charges. We realize this may be an incovenience for our international customers, but we will do everything we can to come to a solution that is beneficial for both parties. If we cannot come to an agreement, your full purchase price will be refunded. For our international customers, the following items usually fit into a $13.50 priority international envelope:

* 6-8 yards of 44"-45" cotton fabric (not flannel, brushed cotton or 54" fabric). Note that if only one fabric is ordered, (e.g., a 7 yard cut), it may not fit into one envelope due to the bulk of the folds required for a large piece of fabric.

* 2 layer cakes, or

* 2 jelly rolls, or

* 8-10 charm packs, depending on how many squares are in the pack

Also, a combination of the above can also be arranged - contact us and we will work with you to keep your shipping costs as low as possible. For orders over $20.00 if actual shipping charges are less than our shopping cart estimates by more than $2.00, you will get a refund for the excess.

For larger international orders, approximately 25 yards of cotton fabric will fit in the $43.50 international priority mail flat rate box.

Please note that unless you purchase insurance, we are not responsible for your order once we have shipped it. However, international priority mail envelopes cannot be insured (this service is not offered by the U.S. Post Office). The medium flat rate boxes ($43.50) can be insured, and it is highly recommended.

Any issues or problems with your delivered order MUST be communicated to us within 3 weeks of the delivery date. This is a generous time period since most issues will be noticed upon initial inspection of the order. We encourage our customers to inspect the contents of the package(s) as soon as the order is delivered to ensure that you have plenty of time to contact us. We will be unable to issue any type of refund after the 3 weeks has passed.

Tracking is not available on flat rate envelopes - either US or international. The number provided is Delivery Confirmation only. It will not track your package.

International Shipping Timeline:

The United States Post Office site indicates that international packages take 6-10 business days to arrive. This can be delayed significantly if your country's customs office holds your package until additional duties are paid. We have no control over this when it happens, and though it happens rarely, packages can take 4-6 weeks to arrive.
